An Incredible Husband-and-Wife Team

As parents of 4 kids, Cecilia and Federico are busy, passionate people. The husband-and-wife team came to YR in 2016 with a lot of business experience and a desire to build the business as a family. Since then, their busy family life has not slowed down and their business has grown.

“Young Rembrandts offers an opportunity for children to grow, it brings a valuable educational ingredient in a fun way. We love owning a franchise that emphasizes the personal connection of working with kids,” Cecilia says. “I love the idea that we’re doing something to bring more joy and beauty to the world. It’s extremely rewarding to empower these kids to show them that they can do whatever they set their minds to if they can stay on task, organize, and follow through with the process.”

As franchise owners, Cecilia and Federico wear a variety of hats and employ a variety of teachers from many different backgrounds. Some of their younger teachers enjoy the flexibility and fun of the program while some of the established instructors enjoy connecting with their community while keeping light part time hours. As their business grows, they are continually looking to bring on more schools and more teachers.

“We’re helping build something in the kids’ minds,” Cecilia says. “I can see it in my own kids, even myself – now, after a while drawing with Young Rembrandts, whenever I see something, I think, ‘I can draw that.’ It’s having that possibility, of seeing the world, and having it translated into a better understanding of what’s around you, and the shapes and patterns that make up the world. A better understanding of the visual world around us, is an important skill in today’s world.”
